Unifor Local 222 is celebrating a new collective agreement for its 161 members at Robinson Solutions. "My sincere congratulations to these members for standing strong to get a new contract with Robinson Solutions,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.

“This agreement stands as a testament to the steadfast dedication of the bargaining committee, who fiercely advocated for their members.”

Overcoming initial resistance from the company, the bargaining committee successfully secured a substantial wage increase in the first year of the contract. The agreement starts with a $3 raise in the first year, followed by $1.25 in the second year and $1.75 in the third year.

Additional highlights include:

  • New CAAT pension plan with 2% employer contribution;

  • Increased shift premiums;

  • Improved job-protected leave provisions;

  • Enhanced vision and paramedical;

  • New mental health language and training;

"This contract recognizes the needs of our membership,” said Jeff Gray, Unifor Local 222 President. “Our members need money now to deal with inflationary pressures of housing, fuel, and food. Everyone deserves to live with economic dignity, and this contract helps everyone.”

The members in this unit are primarily industrial cleaners, line side equipment operators, and blasters.

The contract expires Dec. 9, 2026.
